June 8 - June 14 Rosemary
We will be featuring an herb each week. The picture shows my new plant, Rosemary, which has a slight minty, sage-like taste (more on page 2). I recently moved and had to start with all new plants. When buying a plant, be sure it has a dark green color and shows new growth. When removing it from the container to plant, be sure to run you trowel down each side to loosen any roots. Make the hole bigger than the root and deep enough to come to where the green starts. Place a little water in the hole, add loose dirt you excavated, and press down very hard. A little more water and you are set.
